Thabana Ntlenyana, which literally means "Beautiful little mountain" in Sesotho, is the highest point in Lesotho and the highest mountain in southern Africa. It is situated on the ridge of the Drakensberg mountains near Sani Pass. It stands at 3482 m high. It is the highest point South of Kilimanjaro.
After a long hike up to this peak for an event, I decided a cache up here would be great for those who missed this event.
The cache is in a preform container and placed in the bottom of a cairn on the top of the mountain. Cache is on the side facing the river below.
Enjoy the hike but remember to dress accordingly as weather up here can change easily.the local herd boys, they appear out of nowhere and will watch your every move. Best to distract them when retrieving/re-hiding the cache. The clue is advised here as you would not want to make it too obvious as to what you are doing.
Be aware of
If you have not done this hike before, hire a guide to take you there. Should anyone wish to do the hike I am also willing to join in and do the hike with you. As long as you can get me up and down Sani....
