Geocache Description:

This cache is a short distance from the model plane airfield best reached by parking at that lot. It is in an area that can sometimes be swampy, so be warned. You might find a clear dry path or you may need to cross miles of swampy muck and mire. Please put the cache back exactly as you found it.

The Dharma Initiative, also written DHARMA (Department of Heuristics and Research on Material Applications), was a fictional research project featured in the show LOST. The show has been off the air a couple of years now and I was thinking about how to do a cache tribute for other fans of the show. This is one cache in a series of 10 Dharma research station caches, hidden within several St Louis County Parks. In the show, there was much hiking through the jungles and sometimes physical difficulty in finding these stations, and often even more mystery once they were discovered. There may be some bushwhacking involved to get to some of the cache locations

Please be safe and be careful. The cache is a lock and lock container large enough for multiple trackables. The cache has a custom station logbook, but you need to bring your own pen.

There are 5 station specific limited-edition tradable pins in each cache. If you are able to get to all 10 caches, you may be able to collect all 10 station pins. Remember, if you take a pin, leave something. I hope you enjoy the series!

And as always please remember you are outside in nature. There might be sticker plants. you might see spiders, bugs, mosquitoes, animals, Lions, kitties, Penguins, Oh my. 🐧🐧🐧 🐧🐧🐧
There might be mud, logs might get wet... but hey, thats nature. please help out if you can...Dry out a cache, if needed, or add a new baggie or log...
🐧🐧

Warning

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy.Β Special permission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches.
