Geocache Description:

The Scoutmaster of our sons’ Boy Scout Troop 268 lost a hard fought battle with cancer. There aren’t words to express what Don Faulkner meant to us, our boys, and so many others. With the troop, as Don as our leader, we've hiked the mountains of New Mexico, Colorado, and many places in Texas. We would have never thought to pick up a pack, and head into the mountains for a week before meeting him. Now it is a favorite activity that we share. Don was an adventurous spirit, and had done and seen many things. We will always remember our trips, and will think of him every time we put on a backpack. We will also miss his sense of humor and the good natured jabs that flew around any time we were on a Scout outing. The world has lost one of the good guys, Scouting has lost a great leader, and many of us have lost a good friend. Take care Don, and when we see you again in Heaven we hope you have our packs ready, and have already found the trail head. We'll be ready for a hike.
