Geocache Description:

A small cache in a small tunnel under the A2.
The cache is approximately half-way through the tunnel.
The diameter of the tunnel is around 1m.

This doesn't appear to be a drainage tunnel so I suspect that it is intended to allow wildlife to cross the A2. There are claw marks inside, but there are no signs that it is the home of any animal.

The tunnel can be entered from either the northern or southern ends. Brambles guard the southern end, the gap to enter the tunnel from the north is harder to find and the entry is half-blocked.

There are occasional pieces of broken glass on the floor, particularly at the southern end, so I strongly recommend wearing gloves and perhaps knee pads.

The air is dry and dusty so I suggest wearing a face mask.


Difficulty due to need to crawl, and have guts. Terrain obviously hard.
