1927 Log Cabin Traditional Cache

Some interesting history about the area where this cache is placed:
The land on which this restaurant sits was settled by some of the first Norwegian settlers in the area in 1845. The family members recall stories of trade with the local natives during the harsh Wisconsin winters. They remember stories their grandfather told of the two-week oxen trip to Milwaukee to deliver wheat and bring back immigrants.
The owner built one of the first grocery stores on the Lake. Later he added cabins to accommodate travelers. The cabins were built from timbers the owner cut on his farm. The green oak logs were so tough he had to soap the nails so they would penetrate the wood. One of these cabins can still be seen on the property. The original restaurant and cocktail lounge were constructed from the same material. This strong history of hard work and the desire to please travelers set the stage for a tradition of great hospitality, service, and food.
Check out the 1927 log cabin that is near GZ (but the cache is NOT on the cabin - so please do not harm the cabin). This cache was placed with approval from the manager, Jeff.
Note: our GPS signals were jumping around quite a bit, so the coordinates may be slightly off. If you get a better read, please let us know and we can adjust the listing.
