Bring your own writing instrument, the cache has room only for a log! This cache will either be a breeze or a pain in the neck, depending on whether the gates to the lot off of Azalea Garden Road are open or closed. The cache is only available during daylight hours.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RETRIEVE THIS CACHE BETWEEN SUNSET AND SUNRISE!
This is an overflow city parking area near the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. I have not completely sorted out when the gates are opened or closed. This area attracts a lunchtime, "eat and/or snooze in the car" crowd when the weather is nice.
Stealth will be a must when cars are parked in this area. Do not attempt to park on Azalea Garden Road or the access road to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Parking regulations are strictly enforced in this area.
There are a few other caches in the area and the Gardens are worth a vist. There is a pair of nesting Bald Eagles that make this area their home. The cache is not near the nest, so you will not be disturbing them.
