The listed coordinates are not the exact coordinates for the cache. The coordinates will get you close enough to the cache so that you can solve the puzzle to find the cache.
This cache is located in Inlet Beach, just east of Rosemary Beach, Florida.
When my wife and I first came to this area several years ago, she named this spot “The California Curve”. Neither of us has ever been to California, but several years ago our daughter brought back pictures of the California coast.
This spot in Inlet Beach has an amazing view that reminded my wife of the California pictures--hence the name “The California Curve”. This is not California but the view is still spectacular! I added the trigonometric twist to the title.
To solve the puzzle you must use your high school trigonometry!
When you arrive at the site of the posted coordinates, you will be near the cache. To locate the cache, find a structure in the vicinity that resembles the graph of
y =0.5 sin(x).
Use your trigonometric skills and find the place on the structure that corresponds to the point on the graph of
y = 0.5sin(x) where x is between 0 and Pi and y has a maximum value.
Now use your Geosenses to locate the small camo container. The container is about the size of a 35mm film canister.
You may enter Inlet Beach by car from Hwy 98 just west of the Bay County & Walton County line. There is public beach access and parking in several areas within walking distance of the cache. You may walk or bike to the cache site from Rosemary Beach on County Road 30-A.
