After getting the Cumberland cache, I saw this bridge and knew I had to put a cache here. The high terrain rating is because, depending on the time of year, you may have to do some serious bush-whacking to get to it. You don't have to walk far, but the brush is pretty mean, and the grass gets pretty tall.
This is a pretty cool bridge built in 1938 by the Works Progress Administration (renamed a year later as the Works Project Administration). The WPA employed millions of unskilled workers, during the Great Depression, to carry out public works projects, including the construction of public buildings and roads, and provided paid jobs for three million unemployed men, and some women, as well as youth in a separate division, the National Youth Administration. The economic boom of World War II put an end to the WPA.
