The Arena is open seven days a week from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. In the event of heavy rain the Arena will be closed and remain so for at least 24 hours.
Welcome citizen of Panem to the 2012 Geocaching Hunger Games! You have been fortunate enough to have been selected as Tribute to represent your district! If you survive the Arena, and find all three traditional caches in the games, you will be given coordinates to the final mystery cache Hunger Games: The Capitol, where you could win tickets to see the “The Hunger Games” film. For a Tribute to outlast their opponents they need to bring cunning and strength to the Arena, and once they arrive, will need to also locate many other items, and none of them is more important than “Weapons”. To create a more exciting game to entertain the Capitol audience the Arena has been designed by the Gamemakers to start off with a Cornucopia of supplies. The Tributes may be brave enough to endure the bloodbath that ensues for the opportunity to gain the most highly valued supplies and weapons or they may flee to the relative safety of the outlaying Arena. However be warned the Gamemakers can be diabolical and to find “Weapons” you may need to traverse many pitfalls as you make your way to "Weapons". The trail head warns of poisonous plants, wild cats, and slithering reptiles that the Gamemakers have introduced to the Arena so be warned. And more importantly Tribute remember to record the clue on the back of the log so that you may one day find “Hunger Games the Capitol”.
