This cache is a medium lock-n-lock container and should be an eay find. enjoy the hike to Boyd's Hole and keep an eye out for bald eagles.
Part of the Virginia State Park System, Caledon Natural Area is a 2,584 acre park in King George, VA. Originally a tobacco plantation established by the Alexander family in 1659, the land was donated to the state by the Smoot family in 1974. Caledon is noted for its stands of eastern hardwood climax forest and for its large summer population of bald eagles.
The area known as Boyd's Hole was once a thriving tobacco port. At one time there was a tobacco warehouse, two mercantile stores, a ferry to Port Tobacco MD and an inn. This cache is located near the old road that conected the port to the surrounding community.
