This cache is part of the Historic Route 66 Geocaching Project, a series created by the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona, and designated as an official Arizona Centennial Legacy Project by the Arizona Historical Advisory Commission.

"From its humble beginnings in Flagstaff, MNA has evolved into a regional center of learning with collections, exhibits, educational programs, publications, and research projects that serve thousands of people each year. As the only accredited museum within 150 miles of Flagstaff, the Museum of Northern Arizona plays a vital role as interpreter of the Colorado Plateau." www.musnaz.org

This cache is located along an easy walkway to the front door of the Museum. Consider taking time to tour this wonderful historic building and learn about the history of the Colorado Plateau and its ancient inhabitants. Across the street is the recently built, award winning Easton Collection Center with it's "green" living roof! Enjoy!
