Geocache Description:

BOOM!

From 1914-1918 this noise held a powerful message that was heard around the world. War was at hand like no one had ever experienced before. Using a wide variety of artillery and resources, all countries involved spared no expense to settle international conflict. This memorial triangle cut into downtown Mamaroneck, NY stands as a remembrance of gratitude to those who fought and perished for peace and freedom in this great country.

The listed coordinates bring you to this memorial site, but also pinpoint something cool: a historic mile marker for Boston Post Road, signifying mile #23/230 from New York to Boston along one of the oldest roadways in the country. Standing here you will see 2 identical forms of what was then termed as "conflict resolution" nearby that will assist you in finding this geocache.

In order to arrive at the final location, keep an open mind. Situate yourself behind the southern-most piece of heavy equipment and imagine firing a round into the sky. Which direction would it fire? How far would it go? Well, I'll answer that second question for you. It went 2,802 feet, and the wind gusts blew it an additional 9 degrees NW from its true course. Now go find it.
