A small lock-n-lock container not far from the parking area at Cedar Bay Park. Easy terrain; easily accessible.
Maggie puts the "Corgi" in “Corgicachers”, our geocaching team name, so it seems only fitting to dedicate our first cache to her.
This cache is a small lock-n-lock container hidden along the Erie Canal at Cedar Bay Park in Dewitt, NY, one of Maggie’s favorite walking spots. We’ve decided not only to dedicate this cache to our wonderful animal friend, but to animals in general. To start off, we’ve stocked it with a few animal-related items in keeping with the animal theme.
The Canal area has an abundance of wildlife all year long, including reptiles and migratory birds. I once stood and watched an osprey repeatedly dive for fish it spotted from high above. We’d love to hear about any wildlife sightings in your log, or better yet attach a photo!
We’ve had fun putting this cache together. Hope you enjoy it as well!
