How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache IS at the posted coordinates. Please leave the container attached. You might need a tool to extract the log.

Congratulations to Sprite4 for "FTF" honors!

Every cache has a star rating according to difficulty and terrain. The purpose of this challenge is to find enough caches in a single day that the “rating stars” add up to 100 or more. To get to the 100, simply add the difficulty and terrain ratings together to get a single number for the cache. For example, if a cache is rated as a 2 difficulty and a 1.5 terrain, the total would be 3.5 for that particular cache.

To receive credit for this cache: 1. All of the finds must occur on a single calendar day. You WILL NOT be allowed to carry over from one day to the next. 2. List the GC#, Cache name, Difficulty and Terrain ratings and the total number of stars for the day in your log.

There are challenges of this type elsewhere in Oregon. We felt there needed to be a set here in the valley. You can also find this challenge at GC2KBMC and GC34QNV.

We have tried to be consistent with the cache container as well as the cache location on all of our DJBACH CHALLENGE caches. Once you’ve found one, the rest should be easy. The hard part is qualifying to log the cache.

BRING TWEEZERS. PLEASE DON’T REMOVE THE INSERT. Each of these bison tubes contains an insert with the log inside. This is to insure that the log remains dry. When the insert is taken and the log is placed directly into the bison tube, it gets wet and can’t be signed.
