Geocache Description:

This cache IS at the posted coordinates. Please leave the container attached. You might need a tool to extract the log.

Congratulations to McGeesters for "FTF" honors!

According to Geocaching.com, “An EarthCache is a special place that people can visit to learn about a unique geoscience feature of our Earth. EarthCache pages include a set of educational notes along with cache coordinates. Visitors to EarthCaches can see how our planet has been shaped by geological processes, how we manage its resources and how scientists gather evidence to learn about the Earth. For more information about EarthCaches, visit http://www.earthcache.org/.”

To qualify for this cache, you must have found and logged 50 Earthcaches. The statistics on your profile page will be used to verify your qualification.

There are challenges of this type elsewhere in Oregon. We felt there needed to be a set here in the valley. You can also find this challenge at GC2KBNJ and GC34QNY.

We have tried to be consistent with the cache container as well as the cache location on all of our DJBACH CHALLENGE caches. Once you’ve found one, the rest should be easy. The hard part is qualifying to log the cache.

BRING TWEEZERS. PLEASE DON’T REMOVE THE INSERT. Each of these bison tubes contains an insert with the log inside. This is to insure that the log remains dry. When the insert is taken and the log is placed directly into the bison tube, it gets wet and can’t be signed.
