Geocache Description:

Will-o'-wisp:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

"A will-o'-the-wisp or ignis fatuus; (Medieval Latin: "foolish fire") is a ghostly light seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes. It resembles a flickering lamp and is said to recede if approached, drawing travellers from the safe paths. A folk belief well attested in English folklore and in much of European folklore, the phenomenon is known by a variety of names, including jack-o'-lantern, hinkypunk, hobby lantern in English.[1] Scientifically, "marsh gas" is methane that bubbles out of marshes; this gas is contaminated with phosphine (PH3) and diphosphane (P2H4) which, when brought in contact with air, can spontaneously catch fire. This sudden burst of flame can potentially explain many will-o'-the-wisp sightings".

Saskatchewan has a few examples of this phenomenon most notably "The St. Louis Ghost Train" North of St Louis or "The Taber Light" located near the Village of Yarbo. This cache is located along a "Summer only road" and has all the pre-requisites to be an area where one might expect to see a Ghost Light, especially if you are caching late at night. In Winter or after a rain in the Summer months you will probably be required to hike to GZ. Good all weather parking is available approximately 500 meters from the cache.

You are searching for a small plastic peanut butter jar which contains the cache log and a small selection of trade Items.

Good luck and thanks for caching with us.. Remember this cache was placed for the SCAR2012 Event (Saskatoon Cache and Release), and should not be sought out until after 5:30pm on May 25th, 2012 and any logs before that date/time will be deleted...
