Geocache Description:

A cache & dash.

This curious little toll house is in Devon, though it is thought to have been built by a Somerset Trust, the Minehead and Bampton Road Turnpike Trust.

It was built in the 19th century in the form of a lodge house with protruding front. It is unusual in being a symmetrical building, and isolated on an island by the roads at the junction. It is currently a domestic property with only minor changes to the original structure. It ceased to be used as such in 1877 when the Trust was abolished and the road was made free. The building is Listed Grade II.

Exebridge is a village that lies on the border between Devon and Somerset, England. It lies at the confluence of the Barle and Exe rivers.

Stealth required for this one!

Cache is a smallish container, with room for small trackables. Please ensure the container is closed properly!

Enjoy!
