Geocache Description:

Easy find not too far off the beaten path. Watch out for the barbed wire. It's probably the most dangerous thing out here. BYOP.

The Indian Grass Prairie Preserve is open to the public for foot, bicycle, and equestrian traffic during daylight hours on marked trails. (See the trailmap.)

Located along Williamson Creek at approximately 700 feet above sea level, the Indian Grass Prairie Preserve has several interesting physical features. (The critters are my favorite!)

Observed wildlife within the Indian Grass Prairie Preserve includes White-tailed Deer, Coyote, Raccoon, Striped Skunk, Virginia Opossum, Eastern Cottontail Rabbit, Bobcat, Common Gray Fox, Nine-banded Armadillos, Squirrels and other various rodent species.

Texas Rat Snake, Prairie Kingsnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Rough Earth Snake, Red-eared Slider, Texas River Cooter, Green Anole, Reticulated Gecko, and American Toad are the reptile and amphibian species identified to date.

The Preserve is along a migratory bird path and has a rich diversity of bird species.

Congrats! to BANDA on the FTF!
