I caught my first fish through the ice- on this lake- not all that long ago. I had my first icehouse on this lake- a few years ago. It is safe to say that I love this lake. 'Bout time it had a cache.
This is an island cache and please remember that there is no such thing as safe ice. The locals will let you know if you have a good chance to walk out to this one but nobody should even attempt that until sometime in December. I placed this on my last day of ice-fishing season during the 2011-2012 season, my 31st day of icefishing that year! A boat of some sort will likely be required equipment to grab the FTF on this one. You're looking for a peanut butter jar with only a log in a baggie- feel free to add whatever you like.
Congrats to Iceman Winter and Langlie on the FTF! On water. In April. I have, many, many times caught fish on this day... on the ice... nice work fellas- I just wish I coulda gone!
