Geocache Description:


Out for a bike ride today. Havent rode this far on a bike in years. Saw several small caterpillars out today in the beautiful weather. Also saw a snake at one point, didn't care much for that lol. Room for small trade items. Hope you enjoy.

TO START AROUND JUNE 1ST 2012

The Western Reserve Greenway Trail (WRGT) GeoTrail is a 26 mile long paved trail owned by Ashtabula County Metroparks. The trail receives no public funds and is up kept only by grants and donations. It is totally maintained by volunteers so please keep trail beautiful and as always CITO. A volunteer bike patrol that also helps to maintain the trail, offer information and help for visitors to the trail. Feel free to Walk or Ride the trail and site see along the way. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail. Currently there are more than 150 caches along this section of trail. There are many bridges and sites to see. Benches are located in various places along the trail to stop and take a break. For the most part the trail is well shaded and also has a nice pavilion area at the Lampson Rd staging area in Austinburg. Other parking areas are located at West Ave in Ashtabula, Woodman Ave in Ashtabula, Old Austinburg Rd in Saybrook, SR 307 in Austinburg, Eagleville Jefferson Rd, Station St in Rock Creek and Penniman Rd in Orwell just south of US 322. The GeoTrail was created by CrazyKC and coins funded by the Ashtabula County Convention & Visitors Bereau. In order to earn the Geocoin you must complete the whole 26 miles of trail and write down 2 code words from each mile of trail. Each mile has at least 3 code words. Words are located on lids and or logs along with the mile number. Once you have completed the trail and have your 52 code words you can receive your coin from ACC&VB located at (GC2ZNZW) You may also Pick up coins at Shannons Mini Mart Across from (GC30A9X) YOU MUST HAVE ALL 52 WORDS TO RECEIVE COIN
