The Nooky Trail Series is a figure-of-eight circular series of caches, plus a bonus cache, starting from Waverton Village, heading to Golden Nook ("Nooky"), and returning via the canal; as of March 2012 there are also an additional 3 caches labelled "Snigsnig's Extra Nooky", which will eventually become part of an extended 2-part Nooky Trail. This is one of my favourite areas, and hope you enjoy exploring it too. The series takes you along rural footpaths, and the canal towpath, plus a short stretch along a country lane. The caches are a variety of sizes and types, and some will certainly be harder to find than others! I have listed special considerations on individual listings.

Fancy a bit of extra Nooky? This extra cache is situated close to Tattenhall Marina. YOU WILL REQUIRE TWEEZERS OR SIMILAR TO RETRIEVE LOGBOOK FROM THE CACHE. The canal towpath can be muddy at times so wellies in bad weather may be a good idea, and of course if you have children with you then be careful of the water, but otherwise access is pretty straightforward. The road close by can be surprisingly busy (and fast) so also watch out for this. Finally, watch out for boating and fishing muggles :-)
Good luck!!
* They are narrowboats :-)
