This is my Weston-Wander...Part of my "Join 'em Up" Series
The Weston-Wander is about linking up with an early hide named "Water-Channelling"...which gets very few visitors: please help to change this!
The 6.5 mile circular route is on footpaths except for the last 0.75 or so miles which is on the road...a pleasant lane at the side of Kedleston Hall (NT). Please be careful because there are some blind bends, but there is not a great deal of traffic unless many visitors head to the Kedleston Estate (??) in summer.
I recommend - depending your fitness - starting in a clockwise direction, however this means you will have to climb a fairly steep hill to return to the car, when tired by the end: see Parking 1 & 2 way-points. Parking at each of these - be careful - for two to three cars, each.
Because of this I am intending placing two caches between the start of the road section and the car parking: to give you an incentive!
I shall give some way-points for one or two useful stiles and other guidance for route-finding...but you are advised to take a map! See Weston-Wander 3 for next relevant way-points.
This cache could be undertaken as a cache and walk: I am not sure where you will park, however. The road intersects the caches W-W1 and W-W2 - the footpath continues then to W-W3, which is definitely a C&D, if you want it to be: again with careful choice of parking.
See W-W3 for stile info to assist route finding from W-W2 to W-W3.
