Geocache Description:

Please bring your own pen!

This is one of 36 Girl Scout geocaches that will be placed in Nassau County representing the 36 Girl Scout Councils in the county.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a girl can earn in Girl Scouting. For my own Gold Award, I thought it would be a great idea to use geocaching to showcase other girl's Gold Awards.

Christina Santoro, from East Meadow, earned her Gold Award by running nature craft programs for children at Nassau County's Tackapausha Museum and Preserve in 2004 to teach them how important nature is in their everyday lives.

Please note that over the years, the requirements to earn this award have changed.
