This is another hide in the Vermillion arboreal series. (Caches are not necessarily tree-related; just placed on or near tree-named streets.) Sadly, the street name is just about all the evidence left of this species, since it was devastated by disease in the late 1960s.
Ten disease resistant cultivars of this species are now available in North America, including the "Lewis and Clark" (TM), cloned from a tree found growing in North Dakota which had survived unscathed when all others around it had succumbed to disease.
The largest surviving urban forest of these trees in North America is believed to be in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, where close to 200,000 remain. The city of Winnipeg spends 3 million dollars annually to aggressively combat the disease, still losing 1500-4000 trees per year.
The cache is placed with permission of the property owners/managers, but as always please be considerate. There are lots of big and little muggles around here, so stealth will be needed. BYOP
