Geocache Description:

About this Cache:
This is a letterbox hybrid. It is a big ammo can located deep within Bonita Lakes Park. The only muggles back there should be the wildlife. The cache contains a stamp, ink pad, and colored pencils. They are not trade items; leave them in the cache. They are needed to complete the cache. There is a separate box for trackables; I left five trackables in the cache.

The cache name was the first phrase I thought of when I was saw the stamp at the store. I already had the ammo can sitting at the house. Rest assured that you will not encounter ocean waves on the way to this cache.

The cache is within earshot of Highway 45, but it is not legally accessible from the freeway. You must access it from the park.

The stamp is of waves on an ocean; the ink pad is blue. Stamp a wave into the log book, then draw yourself in the ocean. You can draw a stick figure or a work of art, whatever you choose. If possible, take a photo of your artistic masterpiece and post it with your log for all to see. I won't delete your log if you don't post a photo.

About Bonita Lakes Park:
Bonita Lakes Park is a large park surrounding Bonita Lakes. It is open from 6 AM to 10 PM. The park has a number of walking, biking, and horse trails. ATVs are not allowed on the trails. Horses must use the horse trails except at the silt pond dam crossings as designated. There is a playground at the lower lake and a boat ramp at the upper lake for fishing. The park is full of caches, most of them placed by SWSEC; just click the link for nearest caches to find them. The park is also notible as the home of Mississippi's first Geocache (GC90 Bonita Lakes). There are two challenge caches, another letterbox hybrid, and a night cache in the park.

Be Prepared:
If you park at the designated coordinates and walk/bike to this cache, you will walk/bike over a mile. The whole gravel walk/bike trail around the lake is 4.5 miles (including the sections that share the asphalt road). Allow plenty of time to complete this cache as well as any other caches that you seek along the way. You should take plenty of water, snacks, cell phone, flash light, spare batteries, bug and tick spray, poison ivy ointment, hiking stick, writing instrument, and any other items you think you may need.

Congratulations to followingHIM on the FTF!
