St Mary's is a lovely old church in one of Norfolk's 'lost villages' I have known it since the early 1980's when it was an ivy covered ruin. 20 years ago an amazing man started to restore it as it had never been deconsecrated and was being use by Satanists.......no I am not kidding. He has uncovered fantastic unique Saxon murals. If you cache early afternoon you will no doubt find him there as he visits from 2-4pm every day. He will tell you all the history and explain the murals. In particular ask about the 14c lady on the north side.... The cache is placed with the kind permission of Rob Davey, the person responsible for bringing this church back into use.

Recent work in the churchyard has meant that it is now not possible to access it from there, but is accessible from the other side. Many thanks to Wolf Captain for kindly performing a maintenance visit for us.
