When I Hear Lake Nokomis I always think of the Nokomis Flowage that is located west of Rhinelander in the Southwest corner of Oneida County. It is located in the Township of Nokomis.
In February I traveled across Oneida County Highway D several times while I was helping a friend of mine with his campaign for Public Office. When I had done that I got to thinking there are not enough Geocaches in this area, I will have to do something about that.
The day that I traveled across Co. HWY D to pick up my friends campaign signs he brought North Nokomis Lake to my attention, I didn't know there was a North Nokomis Lake.
There is a nice Public Boat Landing, I don't know much about this lake, I will have to do some research on it. With this Cache here maybe someone who finds it can tell me about North Lake Nokomis.
This Cache is located in the Northern Highland - American Legion State Forest and is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resorces.
