Need a break and a chance to stretch your legs from the journey?
This cache is just before the Savuti / Linyanti split on the main cut-line road from Kasane. If you have left Savuti or Linyanti early, this is a good breakfast spot or if from Kasane direction – this is a good Lunch stop. From the cache it is just a little over 7 km’s to the Savuti Ghoha entrance gate. (NB: going via the cache adds about 7 km’s to the overall distance, as the direct straight route to / from the Ghoha gate joins the cut line eventually – but that road is thick sand and very bumpy – so via the cache is the better route.) Being outside the National park you are permitted to be out the vehicle, and the bigger of the two pans visible from the road is a few hundred meters away and holds the last water for many kilometres around late into the year, so elephant are often about!
