Geocache Description:

Okay, I thought I was done with element hides, but there is something oddly satisfying about hiding one of these things. So here is yet another element hide to help people qualify for Boreal Walker's Periodic Table of Elements Challenge. This time I'm going with Gadolinium, which is a pretty interesting element that actually exists in reasonable amounts on Earth. It's even useful, serving a list of functions in microwaves, MRI procedures, and nuclear marine propulsion systems. Even better, it goes for about $485 per kilogram, so this keep this in mind come holiday season when shopping for those geeky friends of yours that already have everything Woot has to offer.

This cache is part of the Cache vs. Winter series of easy winter hides designed to help people keep streaks alive over the long snowy Minnesota winter. Easy find, near parking, and most definitely winter friendly. Enjoy the quickie!

Have fun!
