As the name indicates, this cache is located below a cliff that has a Native American Sun Wheel on it. It is located about one mile East of Junction 189 and Hwy 412 on a dirt road off of Hwy 412.
During dry weather conditions this cache should be accessible by most passenger cars. You do not need to climb to find the cache. The Sun Wheel is quite visible from the cache site. This is a log only cache, bring your own tweezers and a writing stick.
This is a Native American Pectrogliph. PLEASE DO NOT under any circumstances alter, damage or otherwise change the condition of this beautiful artifact! It is not known how long or how many people it took to construct this Sun Wheel. It is about 10 feet in diameter with rays extending from the outside edges and beyond to the edges of the cliff face, and constructed by pecking off small amounts of the surface with a harder object or rock. It is thought to have been constructed by the Fremont people when they lived here from about 400AD to 1300AD.
This information was found in a book titled "Bridger Valley-A Guide To The Past" written by Kathaleen Kennington Hamblin.
