Hörröds Kyrka
Med tag penna
Medeltidskyrkan i Hörröd revs på 1850-talet, och ersattes av en ny kyrka som stod klar 1858. Sandstensdopfunten från förra hälften av 1200-talet har dock bevarats. Den har vacker reliefdekor på skålen och foten. Rester av 1700-talsaltaret finns också kvar. Grundmurarna till medeltidskyrkan kan spåras under gräset på gamla kyrkbacken.
I samband med restaureringen till 100-årsjubiléet 1958, pryddes kyrkans korvägg med en freskomålning av Pär Siegård. Den tronande Kristus kröner den vita väggytan där de fyra evangelisterna skrider fram i värdig rörelse.
När kyrkans ytterväggar skulle kalkas 1997, upptäcktes kulörta kalkflagor under den vita kalken. När man då gick tillbaka till den dokumentation som fanns från kyrkans byggande på 1850-talet, så fann man att den då hade kalkats i pastellfärger. Man bestämde därför att exteriören skulle återfå sitt ursprungliga utseende.
Medieval Church in Hörröd demolished in the 1850s, and was replaced by a new church which was completed 1858th Sandstensdopfunten from the early1200s have been preserved. It has beautiful relief decoration on the bowl andfoot. Remnants of the 1700-century altar is also retained. The foundations ofthe medieval church can be traced in the grass of the old church.
In connection with restoration work to 100 anniversary 1958, decorated Churchkorvägg of a fresco by Par Siegård. The enthroned Christ crowning the whitewall space where the four Evangelists proceeds through fledged movement.
When the church's outer walls were limed in 1997, discovered coloredlimestone flakes under the white lime. When you then went back to the documentation that was there from the church's construction in the 1850s, itwas found that it then had whitewashed in pastel colors. It was therefore decided that the exterior would regain its original appearance.
