A geocache by the members of BSA Troop 74 in Snow Hill, NC. The Boy Scout of American and Geocaching.com joined forces to promote geocaching. This cache is is part of the Geocaching Merit Badge. Home of Boy Scout Troop 74, you may encounter muggles on certain days. They may be having a meeting, or they may be going to or returning from camp. This cache is placed with the permission of the property owner, who is one of the long time Scoutmasters.
Boy Scouts is a time honored organization that teaches young men the meaning of citizenship and service. Bring around in the US since 1910, it has produced over 1 million eagle scouts and helped countless others. Just take time to think back on your adventures if you were once a scout, or even if you were a parent.
Take time to write in the logs book any stories or memories of when you too were in Scouts. Whether as a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venture Scout, or Girl Scout. Read the Stories of those that have found this before you.
Also you will find some CITO containers. Take one, use the bag, and replace the CITO container with a new bag in your next cache.
Please make sure you replace the container like you found it, with the lid closed properly to keep it dry. There should be room for trackables and swag. Keep a lookout, as there may be some patches. If you have patches you want to trade, bring them and mark it in your log and the boys will be happy to see what you left.
