Tain Way - Anglesey Mountain Traditional Cache
Tain Way - Anglesey Mountain
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is a small container, placed near the summit of Anglesey Mountain. it is a short distance off the Tain Way.
The hike is approximately 1.75km from the closest parking point on the road leading to Black Mountain.
This is not a difficult hill walk - I passed a 5-6 year old walking the route on the way back from placing it. There are some elevation changes but the slopes are gentle and the Tain Way provides a guide to the cache - although it is hidden 100m from the Way.
In places along the trail, especially after rain it can be quite boggy and I definitely needed proper hiking boots the day I placed it.
With all hill walking you should go prepared for the worst. Weather can change quickly and accidents can happen, so dress appropriately, preferably don't walk alone and always let someone at home know where you're going.
