A Geocacher living within 200 miles of San Angelo, Texas who has NOT logged a “MOMMIO” cache does, in all likelihood, not exist. Someone living 500 miles or more from San Angelo not HEARING about a “MOMMIO” cache is a pretty slim possibility as well.
MOMMIO has been a force to be reckoned with in the Geocaching Community. She is loved by all that know her and at times has been reviled by the same folks. Especially when she, from the comfort of her home, calls you on your cell phone and asks you “ARE YOU HAVING FUN YET?”. Did she know you were lying in a chigger infested field, curled up in the fetal position, sobbing uncontrollably because you can’t solve one of the EVIL puzzle caches in her 63 cache “Mommio’s Challenge”? Probably! Did she realize that her puzzles required you to get into her twisted mind and led to not only hair loss but also the changing of its color to grey? You bet she did? Then there is the crocheting puzzle which you will have to ask her about……….. and “Critters” and that @&%^$# Rubik’s cube puzzle.” But MOMMIO is NOT evil ALL the time.
MOMMIO is a great cook and she is always the very generous and gracious host at her events. Believe it or not she has even cooked eggs benedict for me after I won the famous Mommio’s Challenge. I have requested eggs benedict since but have met with nasty looks and total rejection.
All kidding aside, Mommio has done more to make Geocaching not only fun, but a true learning experience. Her “TGT” series is fascinating, as is her “HM” series. And who could forget her “rodent” series and on and on and on……….
Mommio, you are a dear friend to ALL and we are so thankful to have you in our lives.
BTW When you get a chance, please ask MOMMIO about her dissertation on WALNUTS!
