Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab at an urban pond boat launch.

Did you know the city of Manchester has six urban ponds? Can you name them? Stevens Pond is one of them, highly visible from Route 93 near the 101 intersection. There is a bit of room to make a P&G but looks like it can only support one boat trailer. There's even a kiosk explaining the fish and other environmental concerns (milfoil, etc). The 6 urban ponds are: Dorrs Pond, Nutts Pond, Pine Island Pond, McQueston Pond, Stevens Pond, and Crystal Lake. Before the dam was removed (2009) there was Maxwell Pond. Springcat and Grasmere Gal were on a caching run when Springcat said she had only been on this road while training for the Manchester Marathon. We had a container with log all ready because GG had been goading her to place a cache spontaneously. Well, these impulsive girls did just that!
