Geocache Description:

Please enjoy finding this cache 88 cm (almost 1 yard) from the ground on the chain link fence in the pedestrian access catwalk connecting Bonham and Vista, about 30 paces from Bonham. There are images in the gallery that show the location.

Welcome to “The Easiest Cache In Streetsville”!

This cache is wheelchair accessible and is fully documented. You don’t need a car, or special equipment, or even a GPS. All you do need a pen/pencil, vision, and enthusiasm. A hint is provided, but you may not need it.

“The Easiest Cache In Streetsville” is an excellent cache for beginners. Beginners can learn about bison tubes, muggles, and thoughtfully reading details. Beginners can easily find this cache before they buy their first GPS.

Likewise, an experienced young cacher of reading age should be able to find this cache with minimal supervision and support.

Experienced cachers can sign the log and increase their stats. It might be easiest for them if they turn their GPS off and read the description thoroughly. Experienced cachers may decide to help make this cache even easier with their valuable suggestions.

Older cachers, night cachers, or vision-challenged cachers are aided by the reflectors that are in place to mark the location.

Now… this is not the easiest geocache in the whole world, or the easiest ever created. And there are 55000+ people in Streetsville and a lot of geocachers, so it’s possible some may not agree that this is actually the easiest cache in Streetsville. They are entitled to their opinions, however misguided ;). Maybe they will copy this idea and hide their own “Easiest Cache”.

Once a beginner has mastered “The Easiest Cache In Streetsville”, they will be better prepared to find other caches in Streetsville. There are many easy caches in Streetsville (and some difficult ones). We suggest trying “105 Army Cache - Rotary Park” as it is easy and in a nice location (though not wheelchair accessible). “Power House” is similar to this one, although again the terrain rating and attributes indicate that it is not wheelchair accessible (and garbage accumulates up there for some reason).

Here are more details regarding this cache:

-- Please bring a pen/pencil, as the cache is too small to hold a nice one.

-- The cache is a silver bison tube attached by a vinyl tie to the chain link fence on the East side. When walking up the hill from Bonham, that is the left side. When walking down from Vista, that would be the right side.

-- A string is duct-taped to the bottom to prevent the bottom getting lost.

-- Yellow reflectors on both chain-link fences mark the approximate location. One of the reflectors is near the ground.

-- Parking on the street nearby is legal.

-- There may be muggles at times, such as before and after school, and the early evening. If you come with a group of three people or more, you can guard each end of the walk while you sign the log.

-- Please keep in mind that the accuracy of a handheld GPS is typically not better than about 5 metres. But you should not need a GPS to find this geocache.

-- The cache is out of view of the neighbouring houses, so if you are quiet, the muggles will not detect you.
