Another Cache in the Adventure Out series.
A cache near one of our favourite camping spots- Herron Point.
It is a short walk from the road and quick enough to knock off on your way past on the Forrest Highway
There is a Campsite about 200m down the road from the cache.
It is $10 per night, payable to a Caretaker onsite.
It is very basic with no drinking water available but has flushable toilets. So make sure you take plenty of water. There is also no power.
Please respect the Environment and Wildlife here, it is a beautiful location and should remain that way.
Excellent spot for an overnight stay on the way past or a easy getaway from Perth.
There are Bandicoots in the area which may visit at night.
Heron Point is located off the Forrest Highway.
This site is a popular camping spot for fisherman. The crabbing, prawning and fishing are excellent with a magnificent view across the Harvey Estuary.
