For those of you who have already become a geocaching Weekend Warrior! Here is an addition to the Challenge. And before you jump on me, prior to even starting this, I contacted the CO of the original challenge and asked them permission to extend the challenge to the one that I am presenting to you today. I got the COs full permission.
On the original Weekend Warrior Challenge, you had to Find one cache of each size on each weekend for one month. But it only included 4 cache sizes. Micro, Small, Regular and Large. The Weekend Warrior Challenge Part 2 has you finding all container types and expanding on the weekend parameters.
How's this challenge work? The same way as the original:
Setup a public bookmark "Weekend Warrior, Part 2", adding this cache and one find of each size for each weekend of the month. As of 03/12/2013, for this Challenge, a weekend is considered just Saturday and Sunday.
As of 04/04/2015, for this challenge, I am changing what is considered a weekend. Let me explain. Since I have been geocaching my work schedule has changed many many times. Not everyone can do a weekend that equals a Saturday and Sunday. Everyone's Saturday and Sundays are different. And I actually want this cache to be found. After all, that is the whole purpose of this game. Right?
So, here are the new weekend guidelines:
When you create your bookmark and you post up on this cache page that you are going to do this challenge, (if your weekend does not fall on the actual Saturday and Sunday), you have to sate what your weekend is in your post.
For instance - If you work Thursday through Monday, your weekend would be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Those are the two days that you would put in your initial post.
I am also allowing a swing on the weekends. What does that mean? Let me explain. Say your weekends are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. But something comes up after you declare that you are going to do this challenge and what your weekends are. What you can do is you can connect your weekend to either the day before or the day after your weekend. What does this mean? Let me explain. If your weekends are Tuesdays and Wednesdays and something comes up one week, you can do one week as a Monday and Tuesday or a Wednesday and Thursday. But one of those days, has to be one of your weekend days.
Sizes (As pictured above): Micro, Small, Regular, Not Chosen, Other, Large and Virtual
Not all of the caches have to have a physical container. For example, when I completed this challenge before posting it, on a couple of my weekends for the cache size of Not Chosen, I did an Earth Cache. Earth caches do not have a physical container, but since the cache size for the Earth Cache is listed as Not Chosen it counted towards the challenge.
You can NOT log your own caches for this challenge. If your own caches are part of your bookmark, your find will be deleted.
Each weekend in one month, all 7 sizes.
Month has to be in the same year. No July 2005 + July 2006, etc.
If a month has 4 weekends, 28 finds completes the challenge. 5 weekends is 35.
What if the month starts on a Sunday or ends on a Saturday? You need to find all seven sizes on that day. Or wait for another month (with all two day weekends in the month) and try again.
Challenge is open to prior year finds meeting the requirements. Final coords are given but can only be logged once criteria is met. And no, this cache doesn't count towards the finds of this challenge.
Bookmarks will be reviewed periodically. The review results are not required to find and log the final, only meeting the criteria is. Be safe and enjoy.
Also, posting any pictures and stories that came from doing this challenge would be greatly appreciated.
CONGRATULATIONS TO Go-pher-It on the FTF!! NICE JOB!!
