Geocache Description:

A regular sized cache at the station on the Melbourne-Sydney rail line.

Springhurst station looks a bit sad now, apart from the brand-new platform for passengers on the down line. (Compare the dilapidated old buildings and dusty car-park here to the beautifully-maintained next station up the line, Chiltern).
This station must have been quite busy in the past, as the branch line to Rutherglen and Wahgunyah left the main line here (This line closed in 1995).

Most other stations between Wodonga and Melbourne have a cache, so I thought Springhurst needed one! As does down-town Springhurst itself.

Cache is a roomy poly-pipe container with logbook, pencil, a few coins and a Travel Bug heading for Spain.

Watch for muggles as the station is visible from several houses.

You MUST NOT CROSS or go near the lines to find this one - park near the old station after driving under the underpass off Canning Rd (the old Hume Highway) on the eastern side of the station.
