Geocache Description:


The northern part in the Kamito rice field area is area with the vigor in which a residential section and commercial land spread.
Moreover, there are a city office, a cultural center, an educational center, etc., and it has also become area with the central function of municipal government.
The corner and the rich green tract of land facing a cultural center on the south are back valley parks.
Here a pond with Kotaki, the open space of a lawn, etc. are, and it has become civic oasis.
The circumference of a pond is a place of lighthearted relaxation where people who work in the neighborhood relax in the lunch break, and the person who came for the walk takes a rest.
Moreover, the group of parent and child accompanied by the small child, etc. visit the open space of a lawn, and it shows prosperity.
In the inner part of a park, "the green of 静" luxuriant in vivid green and "the little stream of 動" which flows through that are arranged, and the nature of once Musashino is revived.

上戸田地区の北部は、住宅地や商業地がひろがる活気のあるエリア。また、市役所、文化会館、教育センターなどがあり、市政の中枢機能を持つエリアともなっています。その一角、文化会館南側に面した豊かな緑地が、後谷公園。ここには、小滝のある池や、芝生の広場などがあり、市民のオアシスとなっています。池の周辺は、近辺で働く人たちが昼休みにくつろいだり、また、散歩に来た人がひと休みしたりする気軽な憩いの場。また、芝生の広場は、小さな子どもを連れた親子のグループなどが訪れて、にぎわいを見せます。公園の奥には、青々と茂った「静の緑」と、そこを流れる「動のせせらぎ」が配置され、かつての武蔵野の自然をよみがえらせています。茶室のある落ち着いた日本庭園もあり、あたりの静寂な空間が、都市のざわめきを忘れさせてくれます。
