Snickers type micro cache is hidden at Shimei-dori street
"Sanshisuimei" means an area that is famous for its beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers. "Shimei-dori" was named by "Izuru Shinmura" linguist who produced Kojien dictionary, as Mt.Hiei view is beautiful from this place.
In the winter, some major national ekiden relay race championships are held in Kyoto city. Shimei-dori street is part of the running course, the cache point located at median zone of the road is nice watching spot.
The cache is hidden near a fountainin in the park.

紫明通は、東は鴨川東岸の賀茂街道から西は堀川通まで通じています。
現在の紫明通北には、かつて琵琶湖疏水が流れていました。第二次世界大戦末期（1945）に、第三次建物疎開により、防火線確保のためとして、家屋の強制撤去が行われ、道幅20mに拡張されました。紫明通の「紫明」の語源については、『広辞苑』を編纂した言語学者の新村出（しんむら いづる、1876-1967）の命名によるといわれています。紫明通から、比叡山の最高峰・四明岳が真東に望めることから、頼山陽による造語「山紫水明」にかけ、「紫明」が生まれたということです。
冬になると、全国高校駅伝や全国女子駅伝などが京都で開かれます。そのコースは、西京極をスタート、ゴールとし、市内を巡って国際会館で折り返します。堀川通り、烏丸通りという南北の通りを東西に結んでいる紫明通りでは、勝負の山場になることが多く、駅伝ファンの穴場スポットです。
キャッシュは、噴水の見えるところにあります。
