Geocache Description:

Proceed along the Gortnamoyagh Road before entering Gortnamoyagh Forest on the left. Parking is possible at entrance to forest. Within the forest section it is possible to visit the inauguration stone known as the Saint’s Track or Shane’s Leap. Forest path can be muddy

This cache is placed in forestry land in Gortnamoyagh forest near Garvagh. This walk is a well hidden gem and part of a trail known as Errigal Glen Trail.(See web page). The cache is located near the Inauguration Stone where you can stand in the stone foot prints of ancient Local Chiefs and if your early watch the sun rise over your lands. Some sections of this walk are on open road so keep an eye out for traffic. Errigal Glen is a beautiful walk and some stages follow the river Agivey. Please honour all signs as some sections pass through private land all with landowners permission.
