Geocache Description:

The Cannonball Cache is located within short walking distance of the town centre. It is accessible to young and old alike, and is the most accessible high point from which to view the town.

The cache contains a logbook in a ziplock bag, and some items found by Rudi, Oscar, Gabriel and Rosie: dinosaur teeth, dragon's wings, a fairy's hot air baloon and a blue skating smurf god, or was that dog...?

Apart from the great views, you will also see the Arrowtown War Memorial, and a German made 1903 75mm Turkish Field Gun, one of 558 delivered to Turkey between 1903 and 1907 by the German munitions company FRIEDRICH KRUPP at the Essen factory. Partially destroyed, the gun was captured in the Middle East between March 1917 and September 1918.
