Geocache Description:

Welcome to a 6 mile walk along a beautiful part of the River Monnow, starting and finishing at the pretty village of Skenfrith, taking in some of the most delightful scenery this area has to offer.

This walk is a tale of two halves with half on the English side of the border and half on the Welsh, with the border running up the river itself for the most part. The walk will take you through archetypal British countryside in my opinion and (just as importantly) will take you to ten traditional caches and a bonus cache for the end (you will need to take a note of the clue for the bonus that is in each cache). I have set this series up to be done in a clockwise direction starting at Skenfrith village, but it can just as easily be done anticlockwise. Please note, there is NO NEED to climb down the bank towards the river or cross fences at any point to get to any of the caches. The walking is nearly exclusively on well marked footpaths too so normal walking boots are preferable and it is fairly flat except for a steep hill near the end (or right at the start if you go anticlockwise). This cache is a micro container with a logbook only inside.
