***Asaph Whittlesey Mural 1998

This mural depicts the Ashland National Bank as it appeared in 1892. The bank was located on the Main Street of the building where the mural is painted.

The owner of the building wanted to honor the woman who raised him and had recently passed away. This photograph was taken in front of the building the mural was painted on in the 1940's.

***Oredock Mural 2009-2010

This mural depicts the Ashland Oredock. This monumental structure measured out at 1800 feet. It was the largest concrete dock in the world. It was a beloved landmark to the city of Ashland and its residents, recalling a time past where shipping was and integral part of Ashland.

This mural celebrates Ashland's early aviation history, its jazz past, as well as Schiller's Shoe Store which was located in the store it is painted on.

This mural is in honor of all the Ashland area military men and women who served our nation in various wars and conflicts. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. We proudly salute them.

This mural depicts lighthouses from Devil's island, Sand Island, and Outer Island located within the Apostle Islands in Chequamegon Bay and their keepers.
