Situated at Stoney Clouds, a Sandiacre based nature reserve. It is one of six officially designated reserves in Erewash that are owned by Erewash Borough Council and managed by Groundwork.
Cache is small and contains only a mini logbook and pencil. May hold small Geocoins. Has a FTF Stretchy Smiley prize. Note the number from here to use for the code for Cloud City 4. This is the last digit.
Some of the hedgerows are thought to be over 400 years old. In the hedges you might see birds such as the Bullfinch, Dunnock, Fieldfare and Wren. In this area are Oak, Ash, Hazel and Silver Birch trees.
In the past the site is said to have been on the “Monks Way” or “Porteway” linking Abbeys at Dale and Lenton. Springs at the foot of the escarpment were believed to have had healing qualities and may have been used by the Romans.
