This mini series of caches are placed at Stoney Clouds Nature Reserve in Sandiacre. This area is a great vantage point, 85m above sea level, and inspired our Star Wars Cloud City themed caches.
Cache only has room to hold a logsheet and pencil. You will need to make a note of the number in this cache for a code to unlock Cloud City 4.
Stoney Clouds is a prominent sandstone rocky outcrop that owes its name to the Saxon word "clud" developed to cloud meaning hill. From the vantage point at the top of the "stoney hill", the views overlook the M1 motorway.
The sandstone at Stoney Clouds was quarried for use at the ironworks in Stanton in the 18th century.
