Halifax Damask Mills – commonly known as the “Cotton Mill” – was once a prominent industry here in South Boston. As most of our old school businesses have gone, this one has almost turned into a faded memory as well. The only structures left to tell the story are an old smokestack and the square vestibule that was once the entrance.
Snap a pic.... these too will eventually fade away...
But for now, admire the structures and picture the chapter in history that these old bricks stand for....
