Geocache Description:

This series of caches is based on the board game Clue and is a shameless copy of several series elsewhere. There are nine caches hidden – the last of which can only be found by gathering clues from the other eight. Caches are spread around The Penticton Street Trail system and can be accessed at the end of Penticton. I accessed the trails at the intersection of Teakerne Street and Ontario Avenue – in the high rent district! A map of the trail system can be downloaded from the web.

Mr. Bawdy (I know in the Clue game it was spelled differently, but I like this spelling) lived in a mansion which was fairly isolated and situated on a yet-unnamed island in the Strait of Georgia. There were no police on the island and any distress calls were handled by the coast guard. Mr. Bawdy generally liked his own company, but on a particular evening he decided he needed some human interaction and so he invited most of the other people who lived on the island to dinner. During the course of the evening, something went dreadfully wrong and Mr. Bawdy ended up dead! Terrible way to end a dinner party! A distress call was sent out and a woefully junior and inexperienced coast guard member came to investigate. He needed to sort out who killed Mr. Bawdy. As no one else was in the mansion that night it must have been one of the dinner guests. Was it Col. Mustard, Miss Scarlet, Prof. Plum, Mr. Green, Mrs. White or Mrs. Peacock? The coast guard member determined that the murder weapon could have been either a wrench, a rope, a candlestick, a knife, a revolver or a lead pipe. A little surprising that he couldn’t have narrowed it down a little more! The only other thing to be determined is where the deed was done. The only rooms in which it might have happened were the Hall, the Lounge, the Dining Room, the Kitchen, the Ballroom, the Conservatory, the Billiard Room, the Library or the Study.

To help solve the crime you will need to visit each of the rooms in the mansion (caches 1 – 8) and gather the clues hidden inside. By process of elimination, once you’ve gathered all the clues you should know exactly who did it, how they did it and in which room it was done. Then you only have to track down where the perpetrator is hiding and catch him to claim your reward.

I’ve included several tracking sheets in #1 cache for the first few seekers, but after those are gone, seekers will have to bring their own tracking methods.
