A popular fishing, surfing and swimming beach at the end of a 4 wheel drive track
Bring your fishing / dive gear and a picnic, dont forget the sunscreen and a hat.
Track is serious, soft sand 4 wheel drive material with low range required in some sections. Access is off caves road at Kilcarnup estate then drive to the end of the estate until you reach the start of a sandy track. Take the sand track to the right.
Engage hubs and 4 wheel drive now.
Once you get closer to the cache there is a small parking area where you can leave your vehicle and a short walk to the cache. If you chose to drive down onto the beach be warned.......getting back up may be difficult. I can speak from experience as we got hopelessly hung up in our toyota prado with 3 wheels off the ground. After much digging, filling of holes and using a wooden plank and rocks found nearby we managed to get back up.....whew!
Cache is an easy find close to the walk track, under the cliffs
Cape to Cape walkers will probably walk straight by its location, no need to deviate.
Cache is a 1.2Lt sistema box containing a nice FTF certificate, an unactivated FTF travel bug, log book, pencil and some toys for the kiddies.
Please replace cache as you find it, thankyou and good luck.
Congrats to Stoge for FTF.
